Snow Hill Middle School Presents the Worcester County Education Foundation with $500

The teachers and staff of Snow Hill Middle school recently presented the Worcester County Education Foundation (WCEF)a check for $500.
The donation which was acquired from a Kohl’s grant, was issued to the WCEF, as a gesture of support for the foundation’s mission which is to support equal access to a World Class Education for every student in Worcester County by linking community resources with the educational needs of its students to prepare them to succeed. So far, WCEF funding has provided every 9th grader in the county with protective laptop covers and provided funding for teacher grants (to fund six individual teacher’s class projects that incorporate digital application into diverse projects that range from farming to climate change).

The Worcester County Education Foundation is barely 3 years old and is impacting the education of every student, from K-12 in the Worcester County schools through the generosity of teachers (like Snow Hill Middle School), businesses (like Calvin B. Taylor Bank, Macky’s Bayside, Bank of Ocean City), through individual donors (like John and Judy Tremellen, Bill and Gloria Esham) and through foundations (like the Humphrey’s Foundation).

Businesses and community members are welcome to make a donation in honor of a teacher who has impacted their own lives, by visiting: www.wced.foundation or by calling 410-632-5076 or by donating to Worcester County Education Foundation
